In the past 10 years, innovations were focused primarily on improving content creation and publication. </p> <p>The content consumer got benefits from these innovations as a side effect but never as a primary benefactor. Today, websites offer visitors with RSS feeds, custom portals, dynamic content, and microformatted content.</p> <p>It is time we created a framework for the content consumer to deal with all these different forms of malleable content. This framework should have at its core the <strong>reason</strong> or <strong>intent</strong> of why the user is accessing the content.</p> <p>With intent at the center, the content consumer can merge pieces of information found on many sites to precisely reflect what they want.</p> <p>The intentional web is about creating new technologies for the content consumer.
